My grandkids couldn’t work out why I ever bought a CD, because in their world you can download any music you want. They couldn’t believe I didn’t have a blog and so here I am blogging, I hope they think I’m cool and start following them.

A dream is like an onion, it has many layers. From now on you'll see more than one possible meaning for each symbol.

A good, restful nights’ sleep is so important to each and every one of us and through the process of evolution, nature has devised a crafty way of keeping us sound asleep – dreams! By occupying our minds with the equivalent of short movie clips, dreams steady and still the mind so that we ourselves can rest.

Understanding symbolism is the first step to understanding dreams. We see symbols because we all know that a picture paints a thousand words! As dreamers, we often see symbols that are shared universally. For example, golden arches in a dream are a universal symbol of fast food, a red light means to stop and a green light anywhere in the world means go. Decoding these symbols is very valuable but you have to be careful to incorporate the factors of modern daily life into your analysis. For example, if you saw a spider in the middle of its web in your dream, it could be a symbol of your desire to get a webpage and expose yourself on the Internet, which is the World Wide Web.
